Las Vegas family claims to see aliens

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A family in Las Vegas has reported an unusual incident in their backyard, which led them to dial 911 and claim the presence of "non-human" beings. What makes this case intriguing is that multiple individuals witnessed the event, adding credibility to their account.

On the night of April 30, around 11:50 p.m., a Las Vegas Metro police officer captured a video on his body camera showing a streak of light darting across the sky. The American Meteor Society received reports from numerous people across eastern California, Nevada, and Utah who observed the same flash.

Sources close to the investigation have revealed that there are indications of an object crashing into the yard, but the exact nature of the item remains unclear even after more than a month. A drone video unveiled a circular impression in the soil, supporting the theory of an impact. Approximately 40 minutes after the incident, a distressed man contacted 911, informing the dispatcher that he and his family had witnessed an object descending from the sky and subsequently spotted two moving entities in their backyard located in the northwest valley. The 8 News Now Investigators obtained access to the Metro police call log, which documented corroborative statements from various family members regarding the sighting.

In response to the emergency call, two officers were dispatched to the residence to conduct an investigation. The 8 News Now Investigators acquired body camera footage from both officers involved. As one officer prepared to drive to the scene, he expressed his nervousness, stating, "I have butterflies, bro—saw a shooting star, and now these people say there are aliens in their backyard."

Approximately half an hour after the 911 call, the officers arrived at the residence. One officer disclosed, "I'm not going to BS, you guys. One of my partners said they saw something fall out of the sky too. So that's why I'm kind of curious. Did you see anything land in your backyard?" The body camera footage from the officer investigating the backyard was redacted by the Metro police to comply with privacy laws.

One witness reassured the police that they didn't believe in extraterrestrial phenomena but admitted, "What I saw right now, I do believe in it." Sensing the genuine fear in the family, an officer empathetically responded, "You guys seem like legit scared, so I don't blame you." Simultaneously, another witness informed the police about an SUV repeatedly circling the area. While one officer continued to investigate the backyard, a second officer engaged with passing neighbors to gather additional information.

Addressing a passenger in a passing car, an officer posed the question, "This might sound like a really dumb question, but did you guys see anything fall out of the sky? I would normally discount it as probably not real, but seeing as one of my partners said they saw it too, the only reason I'm investigating it further." As of Wednesday, Metro police's investigation has yielded no conclusive answers. The case was initially open for several days but has since been closed. The family reported that officials revisited their home multiple times during the investigation.

As an officer departs from the house and heads back to his cruiser, he jokingly advises the family, "Hey, if those 9-foot beings come back, don't call us, alright?" Representatives from nearby Creech and Nellis Air Force Bases denied involvement in the incident and suggested reaching out to Metro police for further inquiries. Questions directed to the Pentagon's spokesperson regarding the event remain unanswered at this time.

It is important to note that making a hoax 911 call is considered a Category E felony in Nevada, and if convicted, the offender may face a prison sentence of 1 to 4 years.
